When you start losing your hair, you may automatically believe that it has something to do with the genes you inherited. Most of the time, you would be perfectly correct. Plus, vitamin C is used to create a protein known as collagen. The amino acids found in collagen will build hair proteins and stop hair follicle damage. It may even keep you from going gray early. Maybe someone should have told this to Steve Martin and Richard Gere back in the day. 

Spinach: There is a reason Popeye was always eating spinach. Spinach has many vitamins and minerals that help promote hair growth. Maybe they should have drawn him with luxurious, flowing locks of hair. Nutrients like iron, vitamin A, folate, and vitamin C will keep your scalp healthy and your follicles up to the task of growing more hair.
